Jumping on People Reset

Jumping survives because it wins social access. Replace it with a greeting pattern that is easier, earlier, and more reinforced.

What matters most

  • Reward paws-down before full contact happens.
  • Stop making greetings the hardest moment of the session.
  • Teach one default greeting pattern and keep it consistent.

Working sequence

  1. Rehearse with familiar people first.
  2. Use distance resets instead of wrestling the dog off bodies.
  3. Promote the replacement behavior with every arrival.
