Barking at Visitors Recovery Plan

Visitor barking is rarely fixed by telling the dog to stop. You need distance, a station plan, and a predictable guest script.

What matters most

  • Stage arrivals before the door event becomes explosive.
  • Use barriers, distance, and food to lower pressure.
  • Train the visitor routine separately from real guests when possible.

Working sequence

  1. Create an arrival path that reduces visual pressure.
  2. Rehearse mat or station behavior without guests first.
  3. Increase realism only after the first minutes get quiet.
